DETOX DAY 2

Today I woke up with a headache and a stuffy nose, something I am used to when going through a detox. The cleansing effect of the detox drink and limited calories has made me understand that the poisons are coming out one way or another. Yesterday I drank the 60 ounces of the detox aide,  40 ounces of herb tea, and 60 ounces of water. The importance of hydration when detoxing cannot be stressed enough. Water helps the poisons break free from your body.

Today’s detox is the same as yesterday, Starting my day off with 2 ounces of ASEA, following between 900 and 1000 calories a day, and drinking the Spicy Lemonlic Aide. Exercising is the same as well.

The only addition today is that I’m adding a ginger, turmeric, clove, cinnamon, and black pepper tea instead of the herbal tea. Each one of these spices carry an abundance of nutrients which when combined with the detox I think it will help my body regain a more balanced atmosphere. Plus, I love these spices when mixed together and sweetened with some stevia. The black pepper enhances the absorption of the curcumin in the turmeric.

Spice Usage

Black Spice Tea

  • 1/4 teaspoon each ground ginger, turmeric, clove, and cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Place in a paper tea filter. Pour boiling water over tea filter in large mug. Cover and let steep for 4 minutes. Enjoy with a drop or two of liquid stevia (plain is great, too).  It has a warming sensation, and also soothes away sore throats. It took care of my stuffy nose instantly.

Homemade Vitamin Water

After doing research on High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS), I found that crystalline fructose is just the dried version of HFCS. So when I was drinking my vitamin waters I was getting 100% fructose, which is why I felt lousy all the time. While I liked the flavor of these beverages, I knew I could make my own version and still have it taste good, and be filled with vitamins instead of synthetic look-a-likes.

Putting on the Squeeze

I started making this for my 32 ounce water bottle, it includes the juice of one lemon, alkaline water, 1/4 teaspoon liquid cinnamon bark, 1 mL B-complex vitamins, and a packet of stevia. I shook it up and drink it throughout the day for a nice pick-me-up. I have played around with other flavors but really like this one the best.

Drinking this water will give you a better attitude because it has vitamins and nutrients, plus the cinnamon is great for curbing sugar cravings.

Vitamin Water with Attitude

  • 32 ounces alkaline or filtered water
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • 1/4 teaspoon liquid cinnamon bark
  • 1 mL sublingual vitamin B complex
  • 1 packet stevia sweetener

Shake it all together. store in fridge until ready to drink.

Variations: Use other fruit in place of the lemon like: pureed plum, kiwi, mango, melon, berries, oranges, even banana works. Adding extra powdered vitamin C, a liquid mineral complex, and even a cap full of liquid vitamins (although the flavor may need adjusting.

Don’t be fooled by impostors that sell vitamins in a water filled with chemicals, HFCS and food coloring.
