This month of February came through like a whirlwind, at least it did for me. I can’t believe how fast time is moving and how fast things are changing. It’s February 28th already and I’m wondering where the last two months have gone. Time waits for no one, it marches on whether you participate in using it wisely or you squander the precious minutes you’ve been given. When you are in a mental rut time moves at a rapid pace but you just aren’t aware of the time lost or the opportunities you’ve missed.

On February 2nd I started the Himalayan Sole Therapy, and took my health to a whole new level without the drastic cost to my bank account that ASEA was costing me. Funny thing about the ASEA was that at the beginning of January I told a friend that I would never stop taking it. Boy, was I wrong. I also added Rocket Coffee to my diet which included a tablespoon of coconut oil in my coffee everyday. Something really interesting happened, I don’t like coffee without it now. Through all this my blood pressure normalized, I no longer have to deal with severely low blood pressure and my digestion improved so much that I’ve been able to lose weight.

Mental Rut

I also disassociated myself with anything that involved network marketing, from revamping my Facebook page to unsubscribing to numerous marketing newsletters and blogs. I knew that the only way to move forward was to stop hanging on to the very thing that was holding me back. While I’m on the verge of something that will propel my vision and my potential to the next level, I am getting back to my roots and doing what is important for me.

Life is not about winning, or about who dies with more money. Life is about using your talents to lift other people up, to build a bridge, to speak out, and to connect. When I stopped focusing on making money and remembered how much I love helping people reach their full potential, that’s when life began to change. February has taught me that I was in a rut, but I didn’t even know I was there. These last couple of weeks has helped me see what I was made for and what I love doing.

I look forward to a magnificent March with eagerness to start the next leg of my journey.

As many of you know I am always on the look out for different health therapies. I’ve taken a product for 18 months and had resounding results with it. That product is ASEA. I have nothing but accolades for this product. It does what it says it can do and more. Keep reading this is not a commercial for ASEA, only a background for my sole experiment.

While the ASEA provided me with many benefits, I still hold true that it is one of the most expensive products out there. Since I am trying to save money and help my health at the same time, I’ve decided that ASEA is just too expensive for me to continue. So I began my search for a therapy that could offer me the same benefits as ASEA but at a lower cost. The sole (pronounced solay) therapy fell into my lap from an Italian doctor who was a fellow classmate of mine in a nutrition class I’m taking as a refresher.

So I began my research and found that the Sole (comes from the Latin word for sun, “sol”) Therapy to be almost the same as the ASEA, only instead of distilled water and pharmaceutical grade sodium chloride it uses Himalayan Crystal salt and distilled water. The many websites I found and have listed at the end of this post all say that I can use the sole solution the same way I would use the ASEA. Salt is an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibiotic. It can be diluted and sprayed in the eyes, or inhaled through an inhaler and sprayed on my skin.  All of which people who take and sell ASEA know about their product as well.

Not all salts are the same. Sodium Chloride known as table salt is one of the worst salts to use because it is filled with other ingredients that make it deadly. One of those ingredients is fluoride. While we should diligently be trying to get away from any fluoride in our life, getting rid of table salt should also be part of that process. Then we have sea salt, which basically is not much better than table salt. Our seas are polluted and eating salt from a polluted sea just doesn’t make any sense. The two best salts to use are Celtic Sea salt from the Celtic Sea and Himalayan Crystal Salt.

Himalayan Crystal salt is the salt I highly recommend as does Dr. Joe Mercola, Dr. Oz, and Dr. Joel Wallach. Himalayan salt has 84 different naturally occurring minerals in it. All these minerals work together to help the sodium chloride do it’s job inside our cells, our organs, and our bodies.

The Benefits of Sole Therapy with Himalayan Salt

  • Vital to the communication and processing of cell health.
  • Vital to the extraction of excess acidity from the cells and especially the brain cells
  • Balances sugar levels in the blood.
  • Generates hydroelectric energy in the cells of the body.
  • Vital for the absorption of food particles through the intestinal tract.
  • Vital for the clearance of the lungs of mucus plugs and sticky phlegm.
  • Works as an antihistimine.
  • Aids in reducing high blood pressure.
  • Improves digestion.
  • Helps the body detoxify.
  • Nourishes the body at the cellular level.
  • Clears acne
  • Helps grow hair and nails.
  • Helps with getting rid of muscle cramps.
  • Vital in the process for making the structure of bones firm.
  • Aids in sleep regulation.
  • Aids in preventing varicose veins and spider veins.
  • Aids in maintaining sexuality and libido.
  • Saves you money.

I began my sole experiment on Sunday, February 2, 2014. I am no longer taking the ASEA as I wanted to see if I got the same results. Now I know it’s only been four days but I can say this. I see clearer, I don’t have any issues with my kidney, nor staying alkaline (which ASEA never addressed). My husband has also been taking the sole exclusively since Sunday. His benefits are more profound than mine. About 15 minutes after taking the first dose, he began letting go of the flatulence that has had him in pain for several weeks. He suffers from IBS and cannot lay on his right because of the pain. For the last 3 days he’s not only laid on his right side all night long, he says he’s not in pain anymore (another area ASEA never addressed). We both have a ton of energy and so excited about this therapy that we both wish I would have found this information 18 months ago because I would have saved a ton of money.

Oh and the best thing of all, I’ve only spent $37 on the Himalayan Crystal Salt and the distilled water. It’s a far cry from $120 plus shipping and handling. I am almost certain that this 5-pound bag of crystal salt I bought will also last me into next month, which means that for a mere $17 a month we’re gaining we’re gaining our financial health back as well as our physical health.

The first three websites have directions on making Sole.

DETOX DAY 3 & 4: This Too Shall Pass

Day 3:

So yesterday was day 3 of this detox and just as usual the third day of a detox is one of the toughest, at least it is for me. Yesterday I managed okay but I also had special church services to celebrate the Feast of Trumpets. I also sang in the choir and it was interesting because my husband loves sitting in the front row. But I had that out-of-body experience I always get on the third day. If you’ve ever done a cleanse, you know that feeling; a little dizzy, a little light headed, and just an out of sorts feeling, where you keep repeating “This too shall pass!”

After taking my ASEA, I started the day off with a cucumber, banana breakfast smoothie and drank 60 ounces of my Lemonlic Aide from day 1.

I also followed my 1000 calories a day diet. The only thing I didn’t do is any working out.

Just Add Water

Just Add Water

Cucumber Banana Smoothie

Whirl in blender

  • 7 pureed cucumber ice cubes (I pureed organic cucumbers from the garden and froze them in my ice cube trays)
  • 7 pureed strawberry ice cubes
  • 1 banana
  • 8 ounces water
  • 1 Tablespoon ground flax seed
  • 1 scoop Amazing Grass Amazing Trio Barley, Wheat, & Alfalfa Grass

Day 4:

I take ASEA first thing every morning. This morning I had a so much energy after taking it that I just made my smoothie and then I felt like the Energizer Bunny on a pot of espresso. I moved my entire living room around, and did another hour of exercising, then went to spend time with the little senior group that meets in my complex.

Today’s detox tip is something I did this morning while cleaning out my living space. There is something freeing about getting rid of unwanted stuff. As I’m cleaning out my body, I’m also cleaning out the stuff in my life. Anything that doesn’t resemble the new life I have, I am getting rid of. If I haven’t used an item in the last two years, I’m probably not going to use it. I’ve got three boxes going right now: Toss, Give, Sell. Items that still have some usefulness in them, I’m giving away. Those items that have seen better days, I’m tossing. And items that I know are of value I am selling.

Cleansing our environment both inside and out is a continuous job for most people. Cleansing our inside environment also means being aware of our thought process. Negative thoughts are as poisonous to our bodies as processed foods and chemicals. If health is important to you, you’ll control your thoughts, too. “This too shall pass!”

Today I woke up with a headache and a stuffy nose, something I am used to when going through a detox. The cleansing effect of the detox drink and limited calories has made me understand that the poisons are coming out one way or another. Yesterday I drank the 60 ounces of the detox aide,  40 ounces of herb tea, and 60 ounces of water. The importance of hydration when detoxing cannot be stressed enough. Water helps the poisons break free from your body.

Today’s detox is the same as yesterday, Starting my day off with 2 ounces of ASEA, following between 900 and 1000 calories a day, and drinking the Spicy Lemonlic Aide. Exercising is the same as well.

The only addition today is that I’m adding a ginger, turmeric, clove, cinnamon, and black pepper tea instead of the herbal tea. Each one of these spices carry an abundance of nutrients which when combined with the detox I think it will help my body regain a more balanced atmosphere. Plus, I love these spices when mixed together and sweetened with some stevia. The black pepper enhances the absorption of the curcumin in the turmeric.

Spice Usage

Black Spice Tea

  • 1/4 teaspoon each ground ginger, turmeric, clove, and cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Place in a paper tea filter. Pour boiling water over tea filter in large mug. Cover and let steep for 4 minutes. Enjoy with a drop or two of liquid stevia (plain is great, too).  It has a warming sensation, and also soothes away sore throats. It took care of my stuffy nose instantly.

Until Tomorrow!!

When we look at the word health we all have our own perceptions of what the word means that are all relative to our individual lives.  It’s no secret that I love words. I love their history, their definitions and their life-changing powers. So when I began a word study into t “Health”, I found information that quite frankly changed my view of what health really means and why we should pursue to have it in our lives. I think the explorers weren’t really looking for the fountain of youth as they were the fountain of health.

According to the Merriam Webster dictionary health is defined several ways. It is the condition of being sound in body, mind, or spirit; freedom from physical disease or pain.  A medical definition of health is the condition of an organism or one of its parts in which it performs its vital functions normally or properly. The Old English definition of health means wholeness, sound, and well (hale, whole). It also means holy and sacred.  While these are concise in what the word means health still means so much more than we think it does. Just ask someone in poor health what health is and you will get an answer that is much deeper than the definitions in a dictionary.

Where does our health begin?

Health begins at the cellular level, if our cells are whole and functioning properly we have good health. It’s easy to understand then that diseased cells produce diseased organs and poor health. Without getting too technical good health begins with healthy cells. Our cells are in a constant state of balancing work.

Deep within our cells we have the workers that are either functioning correctly and in order with the right kind of nutrition they’re given or they’re in chaos because they’ve been given garbage instead of nutrition.

Our body is a healing machine. It is largely made of bacteria, in a delicate balance. Every cell needs to be clear (beginning within the womb) at all times about its identity and purpose. When a cell doesn’t remember its purpose, it acts like a cancerous cell, replicating itself “mindlessly”. Signaling molecules are essential messengers signaling what needs to happen on a cellular level – on an ongoing basis and especially when damage occurs.  (Radha Bonnie McChristy)

Communication Highway

It’s important to note that we have our own instant messaging system going on right inside everyone of our cells working constantly sending messages back and forth, sharing information, and alerting us when there is a back up or a pot hole on the communication highway. The problem is that that as we age we lose our capability to produce these messenger molecules (Redox Signaling molecules) at the rate of 1% every year. So when we reach the age of 50 we’ve lost 50% of those messenger molecules. So instead of instant messaging we’ve reverted back to the pony express.

Our cells have many components that make up that communication highway and the one component that is drastically effected by the aging process is our mitochondria. That rate of 1% we lose every year, is this baby right here, that one component we need so desperately. We can’t get our mitochondria back once it’s gone. But we can replenish the Redox Signaling molecules that the mitochondria makes.

Human clinical studies on ASEA showed it increased mitochondrial density by 30% in one week, essentially replenishing a 30 year loss. Since mitochondria produce redox signaling molecules, this increased population reestablishes intelligent cellular function and communication. So our body can begin to better perform the miraculous work it is programmed to do; defend itself intelligently, repair damage effectively and advance life. (Radha Bonnie McChristy)

I just love exploring with my husband. When we first moved to the Pacific Northwest five years ago we used to go out every weekend and explore our new home state. This past weekend we traveled down the Oregon Coast and went camping at Cape Lookout. It was the most relaxing camping experience we’d ever taken.

Saturday Morning Stroll

Saturday Morning Stroll

On Saturday we walked along the water’s edge for seven miles. We talked about our dreams, about ourmissed opportunities and about moving forward. It was the moments we didn’t talk but just walked, hugged, and kissed that I will remember the most about this beautiful trip.

I love driftwood and even bringing home some as souvenirs but my husband said no to this one, so I took its photo instead!

And of course my broken toe.

Broken Toe

Broken Toe

Yes, after our lovely 3 hour stroll down the beach, I was walking up the rocky and sandy area to get back to our tent barefoot; I hit an immovable rock with my left baby toe. I knew it was broken the moment it happened, but I didn’t let it stop me or ruin the trip. When I got back to our tent I spray it with ASEA, only because I it was bleeding and I know that ASEA has antibacterial properties that would help it heal. Then throughout the day, I just kept spraying it. I sprayed it at least 8 more times before going to bed and took two extra doses on Saturday night. I slept the entire night with no pain.

Flowers on Trail

Flowers on Trail

The next day just because I couldn’t get my foot into my hiking shoes didn’t mean I wasn’t going hiking up to see the 380 ft water fall. So I hiked it in my flip flops, holding onto my husband for support and walking sideways when I needed to.

The waterfall was beautiful but we could only get as close as the trail would allow, because of fallen trees, the trail was closed. But that didn’t stop my husband from going off trail. I on the other hand, got a nice view from where I was. It was beautiful.

Can’t wait to go back to Cape Lookout next year; we have decided to make this one of our yearly camping trip. Camping season has just begun for us. I am eagerly looking forward to see what other places we’ll be exploring this coming season and even next Sunday, since it’s Mother’s Day and it’s my choice.

I’ve been sick now for the last five days with the worst cold/sinus infection I’ve ever had. I’ve never had a sinus infection so this is something totally new to me. I thought this was just my allergies from the beautiful Honeysuckle tree that’s blooming outside my kitchen and bedroom window. As much as I dislike my seasonal allergies, I wish I had those instead of this infection. As many of you know I don’t go to doctors; I use holistic home remedies to conquer any infection. But unlike conventional medicines which just cover up the symptoms I GIVE my body a chance to use the remedies I’m giving it. Our wellness is the same way. We need to GIVE OURSELVES A CHANCE to grow in wellness not just for a day, a week, or even a month.

It’s interesting through out my whole illness I’ve had two unopened bottles of nighttime, and daytime cold medicines on my kitchen counter. I refuse to use them because I know that each of them contain harmful chemicals, alcohol, and medicines that stop the healing process. Coughing and sneezing is our bodies way of loosening the mucus and expelling it. Taking a medicine that stops the healing process only pushes the infection deeper into our bodies. The same as having a fever. I had a 103* degree fever for three days and a headache to go along with it. I took some feverfew for the headache and it worked on the fever too.  I only have a stuffy nose today, so I know I’m on the mend because this morning was the first day I could smell and taste. Just wish the first thing I could taste wasn’t oil of oregano.

My arsenal of holistic remedies and an extra immune booster that helps the rest do their job better. I am never without it.

  • Fenugreek: Loosens mucus; taken as a tea with lemon juice in the morning before food throughout the day.
  • Feverfew: Taken in a tincture form it’s great for headaches of any kind. I originally started taking it for migraines over seven years ago.
  • Peppermint Oil: 5 to 10 drops mixed with either 2 Tablespoons flax or olive oil; rubbed on the bottom of my feet, and my spine. Helped me breathe while sleeping and soothed my coughing at night so I could sleep.
  • Oil of Oregano: Strong natural antibiotic; 4 drops under the tongue 3 times a day
  • Elderberry: I take it in tea form, and in an elixir form. Both are good. Elderberry is good for colds and flues.
  • Lemon Juice: I drink a hot cup of lemon water every morning even when I’m not sick. I helps get rid of mucus but it also helps the body maintain a more alkaline balance. It is also great as a liver tonic.
  • Garlic: A trick I learned from my mom who would always make herself a garlic sandwich with a piece of bread, some butter spread on, and about 10 cloves of crushed garlic. I did it only with a couple of slices of organic chicken breast. I figured can’t taste anything, so what’s the harm. I can taste and smell today.
  • My Ace in the Hole that makes all this work better and is helping my body get back to balance. I take ASEA everyday. Now that I’m sick I doubled my dose to 2 ounces four times a day instead of the maintenance dose of 2 ounces twice a day. One thing about being sick and coping with a painful autoimmune problem, the body aches and pains are worse than the infection. I haven’t had any body aches or pains this time. So glad I was able to GIVE my body a chance to see what ASEA can do for it.

My Ace in the Hole

Like everything else in life, I always look at what I’m going through and how it relates in other areas of my life. Each step of our wellness journey is filled with choices of how we treat ourselves and how we treat others. It’s a known fact that what we GIVE to other people will come back to us. We can’t love our neighbors unless we love ourselves. We can’t GIVE other people a chance without first giving ourselves a chance. We can’t sit and hope for things to change without participating in the change.

Want your life to change?

Give yourself a chance!

Give your body a chance!

Give ASEA a chance!
