I really became involved in naturally remedies when my sons were little. I didn’t want them to go through what I did as child when they got sick. So I read up on homemade remedies. I made this remedy on my own from the information I gathered about cayenne and ginger. Both have antibiotic properties, so I decided to make a gargle for my family.

Cayenne Ginger Gargle

1/8 -1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/8 -1/4 teaspoon ginger

4 ounces warm water

Mix it together and gargle.

When you have a sore throat, gargle about four times a day. It can get rid of a sore throat within 24 hours. If you’re concerned about the taste you can add some honey if need be. But without the honey it tastes like “hot apple juice,” according to one of my sons.
